Probably Just a Coincidence Probably

I think it must be just a coincidence that I was actually reading about Porter Goss when the "Breaking News" arrived from CNN that he had resigned his position as Director of the Central Intelligence Agency. Really. Right that very minute.

So it is probably just a coincidence that what
I was reading was a story that linked Director Goss to the ongoing and spreading Federal investigation into corruption on Capitol Hill in general and to lobby-financed parties that featured free hookers to selected guests in particular.

Of course, Director Goss has not been named directly, but it appears that one person involved is a former lawmaker on the Defense or Intelligence Committees (Goss is former Chair of the House Intelligence Committee)who now holds a powerful intelligence post (I guess CIA Director qualifies). Apparently, nobody can think of anyone except Goss who fits that description. Probably another coincidence.

So, please, follow this LINK and read a really juicy story, complete with shady limousine company, hookers, "frat parties", easy money and etc., etc.

By the way, Goss says he is leaving the CIA on a "very even keel". If this strikes a false note to you, your might check out NPR's recent piece on Agency morale which paints a somewhat different picture.
